Grant Advisory Panel

The Grant Advisory Panel (GAP) is a special service offered by ECDOI to assist our faculty members with grant proposals. The primary goal of GAP is to develop, critique, and finalize the specific aims page; however, they can also provide support for additional components of a grant as needed. Before requesting a GAP, the project should be presented at a Metabolism Joint Lab Meeting or similar group meeting.

Guidelines for setting up GAP

  • Select at least 3 faculty members with relevant expertise and grantsmanship experience
  • Contact ECDOI to schedule—All GAPs should be scheduled through the ECDOI administration
  • Send specific aims page to ECDOI before the meeting
  • Meeting must be held at least 3 months prior to proposal deadline
